5 Ways to Support Our Salish Sea

Support Our Salish Sea

The Salish Sea is also known as Puget Sound. It defines our region with 12 local counties touching her waters. Below are five local organizations that we encourage you to support. Honor our home waters this holiday season and every day. Now more than ever the Salmon and Orca need our help!
Puget Soundkeeper Alliance – Does legal advocacy and regular habitat restoration events. Soundkeeper fights for clean water and upholding the Clean Water Act.
Save our Wild Salmon – SOS works towards restoring the great salmon runs of the Columbia-Snake River system and breaching of the four lower Snake River dams.
Protectors of the Salish Sea – This indigenous organization is working to end our dependence on fossil fuels to protect our home waters though lobbying, art and civic action.
Stewardship Partners – We can all protect Puget Sound as we garden, with the foods we buy, and trees we plant. Learn how you can create and restore habitat.

Washington Environmental Council –WEC works statewide to hold our elected officials accountable on issues that impact our health and the environment.
